‘No Plans’ is equipped with the latest technology to ensure that your filming boat experience is seamless and professional. Featuring twin 150hp Yamaha outboards, 500 litres of fuel, fresh water and a large enclosed cabin with electric toilet, this rugged vessel is ideal for filming in West Australian conditions.

High-powered, built-to-survey Westerberg aluminium boat that’s safe, reliable and stable.

The walk-around design and large rear deck allows for optimal filming angles and visibility.

Comes equipped with a wireless headset comms kit for the filming crew and director, all required safety gear and commercial operations protocols.

Plus 50lts of fresh water and an esky with ice!

Charters include a qualified skipper from Base Imagery and insurance inc. public liability.

Please note: The boat is not available for self-hire/drive.

Where and when can we film on-board ‘No Plans’?

Our film boat is based in Perth and right at home cruising on the Swan River, around Rottnest Island and all along Western Australia’s spectacular Indian Ocean coastline. It’s also trailerable, giving you the flexibility to travel and film those otherwise difficult-to-reach scenes, wherever the story takes you.

The boat is called ‘No Plans’, but that NEVER includes no planning for the weather, tides, permits, crew safety, equipment protection and environmental considerations and this is where the Skipper’s local knowledge shines. Whilst there is no overnight accommodation offered on board, we regularly operate before sunrise until after sun-down, enjoying the most incredible West Australian sunsets you must see to believe!

What equipment, crew and support are included when hiring the vessel ‘No Plans’?

‘No Plans’ operates under documented commercial operations protocols and is equipped with well-maintained, comprehensive safety gear. Your hire includes a qualified skipper (who is also a talented director, professional videographer and CASA ReOC certified drone pilot) and can also cover additional camera operators, photographers, FPV drone pilots or general deckhands if desired.
